Crash In Burnett County Kills Two

Two people are dead, three others have been airlifted to a hospital or hospitals after a crash Wednesday afternoon in Burnett County, Wisconsin.

Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland told KSTP the crash happened at 2:15 p.m. on State Highway 35 in the Town of Swiss, about 16 miles north of Siren.

“Three people were airlifted from the scene for medical treatment, and two individuals were prnounced dead at the scene by the Burnett County Medical Examiner,” Roland told KSTP.

The names of those involved and the conditions of those hospitalized have not been released.

Roland says North Memorial Ambulance, the Danbury Fire Department, the Dairyland Fire Department, and a Life Link Helicopter responded to the scene.
