Police Still Looking For Bridge Jumper In Chippewa River

Police are continuing to look for a man that apparently jumped from a bridge into the Chippewa River on Saturday. After extensive searches were called off both Saturday and Sunday, Officers are back today trying to find the missing man. Witnesses say the man fell from an old railroad bridge north of downtown Eau Claire, in what appears to be an intentional jump.

Today, Eau Claire Police identified the man as Paul Trimmer, 52, of Eau Claire. Officers say their investigation into the missing person case is ongoing.

The Eau Claire Fire Department plans to search the river again on Monday.
