Man Arrested For Driving Impaired With Child In Car

A man from Osceola, Wisconsin, was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol on Friday night for driving under the influence with a child inside the vehicle.

Authorities say that 39-year-old Wayne Karis was stopped at about 8:30pm Friday in Polk County. Karis was pulled over for weaving in and out of lanes and an equipment violation. After pulling him over, officers noticed signs that Karis might be impaired. Officers put the man through field sobriety tests, which he failed.

Karis was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He also had an 11-year-old child in the vehicle at the time of his arrest.

The incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
