Two Injured In Motorcycle/Truck Accident

Two people were injured after a motorcycle and a vehicle collided in Wisconsin on Saturday night.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 8pm on Saturday, just north of County Highway J in Martell Township. Authorities said that a truck, driven by 54-year-old George Budd, attempted to make a turn into a driveway in the path of a motorcycle. The motorcycle crashed into the truck and ejected the driver and passenger. The driver is identified as 48-year-old Glen Nelson, of Hammond, Wis., and his passenger as 47-year-old Julie Nelson, also of Hammond.

Both were wearing helmets and were taken to Region’s Hospital with unknown injuries.

Budd was not injured in the crash.

The accident is under investigation.
