Firefighters have found a woman’s body in a townhouse fire in Lindstrom.

Firefighters were called to the home early Wednesday afternoon and found it filled with smoke. A fire was burning inside, and firefighters proceeded to find the body in an upstairs living room.

Officials say the fire was contained to one room only, and apparently it had been burning for several hours.

Authorities believe the fire was accidental, and the victim’s name has not been released.

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s office will investigate.
