Body Found In Burning Car On Lac Du Flambeau Reservation

The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation is helping investigate after a body was found in a burning vehicle on the Lac du Flambeau reservation.

Law officers and firefighters responded to the fire just after 10 p.m. Tuesday. After extinguishing the flames, they found an adult’s body in the vehicle.

The Vilas County coroner pronounced the person dead. The victim’s name has not been released.

Tribal police, the DCI, and the Vilas County sheriff’s and coroner’s offices are investigating.
