Braham Bombers Advance To Section Championship

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 at 10:35 pm

The Braham Bombers will play in the Class AA Section 7 Championship game for the second year in a row after defeating International Falls, 80-54, in the semi-finals.

The Broncos finished the year 20-9 this season. They advanced in the section playoffs with wins over Deer River and Eveleth-Gilbert. They did not play the Bombers in the regular season this year. This is the second year in a row that the Broncos have lost to the Bombers in the sectional playoffs.

The Braham Bombers are the defending Class AA Section 7 Champions, and they are making a strong bid to repeat and advance to the State Tournament again this year. They have a record of 28-1. Their only loss came back in December, and they are currently on a 19-game winning streak. The Bombers advanced in the playoffs with a 101-20 win over Hinckley-Finalyson and a 82-50 win over Rush City.
