Two Local Teachers Up For 2012 Minnesota Teacher of the Year

The semi-finalists for the 2012 Minnesota Teacher of the Year have been announced, and they include two local teachers.

In all, 34 teachers were announced by Education Minnesota as semi-finalists for the award. Two teachers from around the local listening area are included in the list of finalists. Cambridge-Isanti math teacher, Bruce Danielson, is a semi-finalist. Social studies teacher Jennifer Ernest, from Isle, is also on the list.

This year marks the program’s 48th year. The winner will be announced Sunday, May 6, and will be chosen by a 22-member panel of community leaders.
