Man In Custody Flees Beltrami County; High Speed Chase Through Red Lake Reservation

There’s an outlaw on the loose in northern Minnesota.

Authorities are now searching for 21-year-old Jason Lee King of Redby, who escaped yesterday from custody after he was accused of armed robbery. He was was being transported from jail to a medical appointment when he decided to flee.

After escaping, the 21-year-old stole a red pickup truck which led to a high-speed chase through the Red Lake Indian Reservation. The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office reports the felon drove up to speeds of 90 mph, before he crashed and fled into the woods of the Red Lake Reservation.

Authorities from surrounding counties and even the FBI and U.S.  Border Patrol are now a part of the search.
