Mora Mustangs Girls On Brink Of Conference Championship
The Mora Mustangs girls basketball team has had an outstanding season.
After starting out 0-2, the Mustangs have proceeded to win 17 of their past 18 games including a jaw dropping 14-game winning streak and tonight they can sew up a conference championship with a win over Milaca.
Mora has been paced throughout the season by the play of Noelle Elvehjem, who is averaging over 18 points and eight rebounds per game. Emily Leeb is second on the team in scoring putting up nearly 12 points per contest and leading the team in three-pointers made with 26. Other big contributors to Mora’s success this season Emma Johnson, who leads the team in assists, Paige Antonson, Kirsten Pollema and Paige Thielen.
Mora is on the road at Milaca, but beat the Wolves by 48 points earlier this year, so it appears they are on the brink of a Granite Ridge Conference Title.
