Pine Pond Hockey Classic A Success

The inaugural Pine Pond Hockey Classic in Pine City this past weekend was a smashing success. Teams competed on both Saturday and Sunday on the ice at Westside Park in Pine City. The tournament was put together to have a great time and also raise funds for Pine City Hockey.

1st place- Team Monster from Pine City Captain: Neal Schumacher
2nd place- Team Coors Light from Isanti Captain: Brian Goodmanson
3rd place – Team Innovative from Fargo/Pine City Captain: Keith Johnson
Consolation – Team Puck Hogs from Pine City Captain: Nick Miller

    I would just like to congratulate the organizers of this event. We were there for the entire event and they did a great job. There was a good time had by all, and this is was hockey is all about!!! And hoping next years tournament is bigger and better.

    What a marvelous idea~ this is how we played hockey and ice skated when I was growing up in Quamba in the 50’s and 60’s. We were not able to attend this year but we will make it next year. Thank you all for your hard work organizing and to all the teams for providing great entertainment.
