A 54-year old Shoreview woman is dead after a crash in Ham Lake this morning.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says the woman appeared to have lost control on the slippery road and her vehicle skidded into the southbound lane of traffic on Lexington Avenue. Her car was hit on the passenger side by a Chevy pickup driven by a 33-year-old Hugo man.

Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor but the crash continues to remian under investigation. The name of the deceased 54-year old woman hasn’t been released.
