Former Walker Staffer Facing Theft Charges
The former chief of staff to Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, when Walker was the Milwaukee County Executive, is facing theft charges.
The arraignment for Timothy D. Russell, 48, is scheduled for Thursday morning. Russell is facing two charges of felony theft and one charge of misdemeanor theft.
Between 2006 and 2009, Russell is accused of stealing more than $21,000 from a nonprofit organization that Walker had asked him to lead.
The charges against Russell are part of an ongoing investigation centered on people who served in county government during Walker’s time as executive.
Another former Walker appointee is also charged with embezzling from the organization.
