DNR Battles Wildfire Near Dalbo Wildlife Management Area

Fire crews battled a large grass fire near the Dalbo Wildlife Management Area on Wednesday.

According to the Department of Natural Resources, the fire was about 50 acres in size near County Road 16 and Tiger Street Northwest. Crews from the DNR and Dalbo Fire Department were on the scene fighting the fire.

The DNR was trying to prevent the fire from spreading to the Dalbo Wildlife Management Area.

The DNR says that the state has had 12 wildfires this year so far.
