Wisconsin Man Sentenced After Slaying Deer On Snowmobile
Nicholas Hermes of Waupaca, WI has been sentenced to six months in jail for animal mistreatment and hunting violations after he ran down and killed multiple deer while on a snowmobile.
The Appleton Post-Crescent reports the 26-year-old will receive two-and-a-half years of probation as well as $6,200 in fines and costs.
It is suspected two other men were involved in the incident, which happened in the town of Lind on a trail in 2009.
An April trial is scheduled for suspect Robby Kuenzi. His brother Rory, was sentenced earlier in November to 11 years in prison, although he was already in prison for a fatal drunk-driving accident.
