Vasaloppet Art Show

Monday, February 6th, 2012 at 1:12 pm

More than 45 artists are expected to display their art at the annual Vasaloppet Art Show this weekend at St. Mary’s Parish Center.

There will be plenty of great art to look at and plenty of things to do. On Friday night, starting at 7pm, Jan Hartley Wise will be leading a gallery tour. She is experienced in working with many different mediums, and will be commenting on the art during the tour. At 10:30am on Saturday Jan will share insights into finding inspiration and creativity.

At 2pm on Saturday Rex Lindberg will have a wood carving demonstration.

There will also be a silent auction. Artists will be donating some of their work for the auction. Proceeds from this auction will go to the KCAA scholarship fund, which helps local students in their study of the arts.

The show is free and open to the public. It will be open on Friday, Feb. 10 from 1-9pm. It’s open on Saturday from 10-5pm. Sunday is the last day of the show and it’ll be open from 10-4pm.
