Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the Associated Press Most Valuable Player award, by a wide margin, on Saturday.

Rodgers won the award by receiving 48 of the 50 votes of a nationwide panel of 50 media members who regularly cover the NFL. New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees received the other two votes.

Rodgers led the NFL in passing with a 122.5 passer rating. He also had 45 touchdown passes, six interceptions and a 68.3 completion percentage as the Packers went 15-1 and won the NFC North.

Rodgers is the first Packer to win the award since Brett Favre won in 1997.
