Former Viking Chris Doleman Elected To Hall Of Fame

Former Minnesota Viking Chris Doleman was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Doleman was drafted  in the first round, fourth overall, in the 1985 NFL Draft by the Vikings.  In 1989 he recorded a franchise single-season record 21.0 sacks. Doleman played 15 seasons in the NFL, including time with the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers, before ending his career as a Viking.

Doleman was considered one of the best pass-rushers of his era, recording 150.5 career sacks and 44 forced fumbles.

Also elected to the Hall of Fame with Doleman were: Curtis Martin, Cortez Kennedy, Willie Roaf, Dermontti Dawson, and senior selection Jack Butler.
