Authorities Remind Super Bowl Party Goers To Plan A Sober Ride

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is reminding motorists to designate a sober driver before watching the Super Bowl.

From 2006-2010, on Super Bowl Sunday, there were nine traffic deaths. Four of those were alcohol related. Also in that time frame, 1,201 people were arrested for drunken driving.

Authorities say motorists could pick a sober driver before the game, use public transportation or a taxi, or stay at the celebration.

Authorities also say that if you see someone who appears to be driving impaired,  call 911.
