Benefit For Mackenzie Klar Scholarship Fund Today

Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at 7:18 am

This Saturday, Feb. 4, an all-day fundraiser has been scheduled for the Mackenzie Klar Memorial Scholarship Fund at the American Legion in Hinckley. Originally billed as a snowmobile ride, Kenzie’s mom Lori told our Mike Hughes that alternate activities have been planned since there isn’t enough snow.

Of course, Mackenzie was the young girl who was tragically killed from a falling tree in the July 1 storm.

Some of those activities include a Bean Bag Tournament, Jenga Tournament, Minnow Races, Wii Challenges, mini putt and more. A bake sale/silent auction is also in the works, and the spaghetti dinner starts at 5pm.

Here is picture of Mackenzie waiting by her mom’s snowmobile. Hopefully we get some snow on Friday night… Lori Klar says her daughter loved riding snowmobiles with her family, so this is an event she would have loved to attend!

Please come if you can!
