Douglas County Proposal For New Aircraft Assembly Plant

A new report out of Douglas County in Wisconsin shows that a major aircraft facility may be coming to Superior.

The Douglas County Administrator stated that on Tuesday night a special committee recommended to give 13.3 acres of land to the Kestrel Aircraft Company. The recommended property is located on the northern portion of the county fairgrounds, and would be used to construct an airplane assembly plant .

The Douglas County Board is expected to  approve the proposal next week, and if so, would create as many as 600 jobs
