Bachmann Ends Presidential Campaign

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at 2:36 pm

The Michele Bachmann campaign has ended alas. Wednesday morning the Minnesota Republican announced in Iowa that she would halt her run for the Presidency after a dissapointing and disastrous 6th place result in the Iowa caucuses.

“Last night the people of Iowa spoke with a very clear voice, so I have decided to stand aside,” stated Bachmann, prompting her to drop out of the pool of candidates. The ObamaCare criticizer made the announcement, before officially confirming her departure from the race.

No other future political plans were discussed, but did say “I look forward to the next chapter in God’s plan”

Originally Bachmann stated she would continue on after winning just 5 percent in the Iowa caucuses, but that fate is now no longer. Bachmann’s next stop would have been South Carolina.
