Wisconsin Recall Organizers To Target Badger Fans At Rose Bowl

Organizers of the drive to remove Republican Gov. Scott Walker from office plan to travel to Pasadena, CA, for Monday’s Rose Bowl in hopes of getting additional signatures for the recall. The game, which pits Wisconsin against Oregon, will be attended by many fans from Wisconsin.

The organizers of the petition drive apparently plan to hold a rally before the game and solicit signatures from Wisconsin residents and students attending the game.

Democrats and their allies want to throw Walker out of office because he made many public workers pay more for their healthcare coverage and contribute more to their own pension plans.

Recall organizers announced earlier this month they’ve collected about 507,533 of the 540,208 signatures they need by Jan. 17 to force an election next year. Democrats haven’t announced any specific candidates that would run against Walker.
