Fatal Crash On I-35 Near Esko Thursday Morning
A car crash on I-35 near Esko early Thursday killed one person and injured two others. WCMP first reported on this incident during the Pine County Sheriff’s Report with Robin Cole.
A little before 7 a.m. Thursday morning, a 2000 Ford Escort was heading southbound on I-35 when the vehicle spun out due to icy road conditions. The Escort swerved into oncoming traffic where it was hit on the driver’s side door by a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora.
Troy and Justine Miller of Cloquet, the passengers of the Olds Aurora, were treated for their injuries and then released.
The identity of the driver of the Ford Escort hasn’t been released at this time.
Carlton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident.
