Wisconsin Woman Steals Ring From Casket
Patricia Woodford of Eau Claire, WI has been accused of stealing a ring from a woman in a casket. She has been sentenced to 15 days in jail and a year of probation for pleading guilty to misdemeanor theft. 40 hours of community service was also ordered upon the woman.
The 55 year-old told police she took the ring from Gladys Patton’s body at her August visitation in Menomonie because she felt it was a waste for it to be buried.
The ring was returned, but the Daughter of Patton requested it be buried again with her mother.
