Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 at 7:28 am

A car and school bus collided in Ham Lake Tuesday morning around 7:52 a.m.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 65 and 143rd Avenue, according to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities say the driver of the car was a 23-year-old man from Cambridge who apparently fell asleep while driving north on Highway 65. The State Patrol says that the car veered off the road, went airborne, hit the bus and rolled over onto its roof. The bus was at a stop sign at 143rd Avenue.

No one has been hurt on the bus, which was carrying three kids. Amazingly, the driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.
