Beware Of Scams When Selling Packer Tickets On Game Day
If you’re looking to sell your Green Bay Packers tickets on game day at Lambeau Field, beware of an increasing number of people buying with counterfeit bills.
You’re taking a chance when you sell a ticket to a complete stranger in a crowd of 70,000, because that person can disappear in a second and you’re left with fake money, Ashwaubenon Public Safety Lt. Jody Crocker said. He says area businesses and fans at Lambeau Field have reported receiving counterfeit bills this football season.
According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, police believe the suspected counterfeiters change clothes after buying the tickets, then sell them to fans for real money.
Local ordinances require a permit for those selling Packers tickets on game days near Lambeau Field. Violators face a fine of up to $1,000.
