Scare At Local Area Middle School

On Wednesday Lakes Area Police responded to a call about two males possibly armed with a gun that were possibly headed to the Chisago Lakes Middle School in Lindstrom.

According to the Lakes Area Police, they received a call about two males about 16-20 years old possibly armed with a handgun. The two males were thought to be heading towards the middle school. Police said one of the males was wearing a black hoodie and one had a blue hoodie on.

School officials immediately locked down the school. Several police officers responded and after an extensive search no one was located matching the description of the males.

After the search, the school was advised that the area was clear, and students were allowed to board their school buses.

Lakes Area Police said that at this time there is nothing to indicate any ongoing danger to students or staff.
