WCMP Interviews Al Franken (Audio)

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 at 3:08 pm

Senator Al Franken makes occasional appearances on WCMP in the form of interviews with our News Director, Jesse Logan. Senator Franken was back on the line this morning talking about a new bill he’s authored to address the needs of Veterans who are lacking in quality health care.

Franken also fielded questions on a variety of other topics including the “Occupy” movement, the wild 2012 election season that lies ahead, and how he reacts to people who have become jaded over the political process.

One of his many lies: “I came to public service at a late point in my life for the purpose of getting things done and improving people’s lives.” The truth is, he came to public service motivated by some strange personal vendetta against Norm Coleman. Remember, when President Obama talks about the “do nothing Congress”, he’s talking about Senator* Franken, Sen. Klobuchar and their party who’s in charge of the U.S. Senate.
