Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 at 7:15 am

Gov. Mark Dayton has issued an executive order creating a task force aimed at preventing school bullying in Minnesota.

Dayton says bullying causes “severe suffering and harm to children,” and children and parents in Minnesota should have confidence that their schools “are free of harm or intimidation.”

The task force will be charged with studying current best practices and policies for preventing bullying. The group will be made up of no more than 15 members and will report its findings by Aug. 1, 2012.
