Time is running out for finding a solution to the Minnesota VIkings stadium issue. The Vikings have released a new plan proposing taxes primarily paid by fans of the team, with the site destination remaining in Arden Hills. Today, a DFL representative will unveil his plan, which many believe has options for several downtown Minneapolis sites.

This week public hearings will also be held at the State Capitol that will focus on potential sites for a new stadium. The first public hearing will be held Tuesday with more scheduled in the near future.

In addition to the public speaking portion of the hearing, representatives from the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission, Ramsey County, Minneapolis and the Minnesota Vikings are also expected to speak this week, so it seems like the stadium debate at the Capitol may be about to hit crititcal mass. We’ll keep this updated.
