Wisconsin Woman Sets Herself On Fire
A woman in northern Wisconsin eluded police officers and set herself on fire on Tuesday.
According to the Ashland police, Tuesday evening officers responded to a call about a suicidal woman. They found the 22-year-old woman sitting in an SUV. When the woman saw the officers she sped through residential neighborhoods. Police pursued the woman, but called off the chase out of safety concerns. Officers eventually disabled the SUV with stop sticks.
A Duluth News Tribune report said that officers tried to talk her out of the vehicle, but she poured lighter fluid on herself and lit herself on fire. Police pulled her out, using snow to extinguish the flames.
