Police say a Forest Lake Fire Truck was stolen overnight last week.

KSTP reports that the truck was later recovered, athough it had suffered damage. The theft apparently happened during a burglary at the Forest Lake Fire Hall last Thursday night.

Police say the fire hall was broken into and a laptop, two radios, and the F350 pickup truck – which was also outfitted with a rig in the back – were stolen.

Police believe the truck was driven to ThomCo Carpet and Flooring Store on South Lake Street and used to push in the company’s garage door and break in. The suspects rummaged through the office, but not much was taken, police say.

The fire truck has minor damage. It was recovered around 1 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Southwest Junior High.
