Clayton Bears Football Just Misses Title Game

Monday, November 14th, 2011 at 7:07 am

A huge congratulations is in order for the Clayton Bears football team. They had an amazing run this season posting a 12-1 record and came within a game of playing for a state championship.

The Bears lost over the weekend 34-26 to Greenwood/Granton, who will now play Seneca on Thursday at Camp Randall Stadium for the Division 7 crown.

The Bears had never gotten past a level two game, and this season they advanced all the way to level four, playing in a state semi-final game for the first time in school history, a great accomplishment. Congratulations again on a wonderful season for the Clayton Bears!
