Wisconsin Man Shows Up To OWI Hearing Drunk
A Wisconsin man is charged with a second drunken-driving charge after driving himself to court while intoxicated.
The Wisconsin State Journal is reporting that 50-year-old Russell Lambert of Windsor appeared in Dane County court Friday, for a drunken-driving charge. When Lambert arrived, a bailiff smelled alcohol on his breath and administered a breath test. The test showed a high blood-alcohol level, and later tests showed a blood-alcohol level of 0.28%. That’s 3.5 times the legal limit.
Police spokesman Joel DeSpain says Lambert told investigators he drove himself to court. Police are now recommending a second drunken-driving charge.
