Chippewa County Campground Hit With Burglaries

The Silent Waters Campground in northern Chippewa County was hit by a rash of burglaries over the weekend.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department told WEAU that eight campers and three sheds were burglarized Friday night in the Town of Lake Holcombe.

Officials report that mainly small electronics like televisions and DVD players were stolen, as well as four 30-pound LP tanks.

Deputies say they do not have any suspects at this time.
