A teenager, under the influence, was arrested after driving a vehicle for the intoxicated owner.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, around 12:54am Saturday a vehicle was pulled over for speeding on Highway 63 and Beal in Sawyer County. Once the vehicle was stopped, the trooped noticed that the teen driver jumped into the back seat. The 14-year-old driver admitted to the trooper that he was driving the vehicle because the owner was intoxicated. Officials also revealed that the teen had been smoking marijuana. The teen was later released to an adult.

The driver was arrested and submitted to a blood test. The results are pending.

Charges are pending for the vehicle’s owner.
