This week, Sheriff Cole sheds some light on the two recent fatalities on I-35 between Pine City and Rock Creek, occurring on consecutive days (Wednesday and Thursday).

Sheriff Cole also talks about the two men who were recently arrested in connection with a string of  burglaries that spanned from Minnesota to Michigan.

We also get the latest on the 800 MHz Radios that have been ordered, the Chicago conference Cole just returned from and the weekly summary of calls. The Sheriff also offers some words of wisdom to the listeners about Halloween and being mischievous.

I’m very disappointed in Sheriff Cole’s report about the horse that was shot…first of all not a single deputy ever went out and saw the horse or took pictures or checked to see how the horse was doing. The horse is swollen all along his spine and has shot in him on both sides along his spine and on his rump. The sheriff’s office hasn’t returned calls by the horse owner, hadn’t talked to the neighbor girl who was outside and heard shooting as of yesterday. This supposed neighbor dispute involves several neighbors not just two and involves threats of bodily harm to both animals and people including children…Will it take someone getting killed out there for something to be done or are we truly governed by the “big names” in this town….

Oh and in addition, nothing was ever said about who did the shooting of the horse and it was two different size shot in the horse. This is a sad, needless act and was no accident…
