Wisconsin has a new requirement for people who file for unemployment insurance.

Anyone who files for unemployment insurance will now have to make an active search for work by contacting at least two employers each week. They also must register with Wisconsin Job Service, in addition to the current requirements.

Department of Workforce Development Secretary Scott Baumbach told the AP that the state is adding the new requirement in order to match unemployed residents with job openings.
