Superior Man Arrested In Shooting Case
Police arrested a Superior man Thursday, the day after they believe he fired shots outside his home. No one was injured in the shooting.
Officers responded to the 400 block of Cumming Ave. at about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday after people reported gunshots being fired in the area. Witnesses told officers that a man had fired a gun from a home’s porch.
An officer on the scene said police made contact with an individual inside the house who told police that he did not want to talk to them.
Officers returned to talk to the man on Thursday. Captain Chad La Lor told WDIO that the man said he had been working on the gun and admitted to discharging it off the porch. He is facing a charge of discharging a firearm within the city limits.
The 52-year-old suspect will appear in court Oct. 26 to face the charges.
