Governor Walker Calls Special Session On Jobs
Gov. Scott Walker has called another special legislative session on jobs, which will begin today.
The governor called a similar special session on the day he took office back in January. Walker told the Associated Press that he wants to send another message that he remains focused on getting people back to work. The agenda includes bills designed to free up investment capital, streamline wetland permits, create temporary electric rates and reform litigation procedures.
Walker, a Republican, promised on the campaign trail to create 250,000 jobs by 2015.
