Polk County Board To Adopt New District Lines On Tuesday Night
The Polk County Board will adopt new supervisor district lines at its next meeting, which is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 20. The monthly meeting will start at 5:30 p.m., which is a little earlier than usual, and will include a review of the recommended 2012 county budget by Polk County Administrator Dana Frey.
The Inter County Leader reports that supervisors will also vote on a resolution to delay the cut in retirement benefit payments for the county management employees until next January. The meeting, at the government center in Balsam Lake, is open to the public and includes a period for public comment.
