Cargill Recalls More Turkey Products
Cargill Inc. recalls more turkey products Sunday.
A positive test for salmonella in a sample from an Arkansas plant triggered the recall. The same plant was closed less than a month ago after a salmonella outbreak that 107 people got sick from.
This latest recall covers 185,000 pounds of ground turkey products, including trays of ground meat, patties and chubs. The products were distributed under the Honeysuckle White, Kroger and Fresh HEB brands.
Some symptoms of salmonella are diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever within eight hours to 72 hours of eating a contaminated product. It can be life-threatening to some with weakened immune systems.
