A man is now in police custody after surveillance cameras caught him committing sexual assault.

St. Cloud Police said that officers responded to the scene of a possible sexual assault around 4am Sunday on the 100 block of 4th Avenue South.

The police were called after security for a local business caught a man and woman having sex outside and it appeared it was not consensual. The security personnel said that the 26-year-old woman attempted to push the man off several times.

The security officers interrupted the sexual encounter but the man, 24-year-old Timothy Lewis Streling, told them it was consensual.

Police said that the video surveillance footage clearly shows the woman trying to push Streling off of her.

Streling was arrested and taken into custody at Stearns County Jail, where he could face third-degree criminal sexual conduct charges.
