Body Found In Chippewa River

A group of tubers on the Chippewa River found a body on Friday afternoon.

According to the police he was 22-year-old Ricardo Gonzales of Eau Claire. No physical wounds were found on his body. There was no evidence of foul play, so police believe it was a drowning.

WEAU-TV is reporting that preliminary testing showed Gonzales had a blood-alcohol content of 0.19 percent. A full toxicology report is being prepared.
