A car chase through Duluth last night turned deadly. Duluth Police said officers tried to pull over a 2002 Infiniti, but the driver did not stop. The chase ended when the car crashed into a home near 102nd Avenue West and Dickson Street.

Police said the suspect attempted to flee, breaking into a nearby home, and then firing at police. One officer then shot and killed the suspect, according to police.

A woman who lived in the home also suffered a non life-threatening gun shot wound, police said.

The vehicle matches the description of one stolen in an armed robbery at a Duluth Walgreen’s Saturday night, but police have not said if these two incidents are related.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension will be the lead agency in the officer involved shooting investigation, police said
