Master Sargent Daniel Fedder was killed in Afghanistan last year while attempting to disarm an IED in the Helmand Province. Fedder served for 16 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He had reached the level of Master Sargent and Master EOD Technician at the time of his death.

The first scholarships were awarded this year to members of the Pine City High School Class of 2011. This event will donate all the money earned into the scholarship fund. Fedder was a PCHS Alumni.

There will be many great events going on throughout the day at the Pine City Fairground including; a car show, bingo, Old Timers wrestling, a silent auction, and fun games for the kids.

The fundraiser will run Saturday, Aug 27th from 11am to 5pm at the fairgrounds and then shift over to the American Legion from 7pm to 11pm.

At the Legion, the band Torrent, which features two PCHS alumni, will preform.

Silent auction items include; MOA fun-pack, Ray-ban sunglasses, Viking tickets, a Peter Fonda signed leather jacket and much more.
