A new edition of the paper is out on newsstands, and it features a powerful picture of Jackie McKellar holding the dog tags emblazoned with a picture of her son, Master Sergeant Daniel Fedder, who was killed one year ago in Afghanistan while disarming a roadside bomb.

Gainor chats with our Jesse Logan about what the family has done to ensure that Msgt Fedder’s memory lives on here in Pine City. A full day of events has been scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Pine County Fairgrounds to help raise money for the Msgt Daniel L. Fedder Memorial Scholarship fund.

Gainor says he will spend some time in the dunk tank.

During the report we also talk of other local happenings, and learn about a Pine City couple that was very fortunate to survive a scary motorcycle accident while attending the annual rally in Sturgis, SD.
