WCMP Visits Vikings Training Camp (8/3)
On Wednesday the Minnesota Vikings were in Day 3 of their annual visit to Mankato as they prepare for the 2011 season. A few veterans who’ve just signed were unable to begin practice, but will be available tomorrow. Among those who must sit out until Thursday: QB Donovan McNabb, LT Charlie Johnson, and WRs Michael Jenkins and Devin Aromashodu. Also, star RB Adrian Peterson was absent due to personal reasons (child’s birth).
The Vikings held a morning practice from 9am until 11:10am and will hold a second practice this afternoon starting a 3pm. The morning session will be more of a walk-through per the new CBA rules that no longer allow for two-a-day practices.
