ECE Says 1900 Still Without Power

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011 at 9:42 pm

The following is a press release from East Central Energy:

Storms swept across ECE’s service territory this morning causing downed power lines, damaged poles, and fallen trees. About 1,900 members remain without power. The most affected areas include Isanti and Chisago counties specifically the towns of Cambridge, Dalbo, North Branch, and Harris. A smaller number of outages remain in Wisconsin in Washburn and Douglas counties.

East Central Energy crews, as well as other crews (brought in to expedite the restoral process), will work through the night to restore power.  We estimate most members will have power restored by Wednesday.  Visit eastcentralenergy.com for outage updates.
If you are experiencing an outage please call 1-800-254-7944 to report an outage or click on Report your outage below to complete online.

ECE urges the public to treat all power lines as energized. Stay away from downed and sagging lines and anything that may be in contact with the line.
